TRAFFICKING IN AMERICA TASK FORCE is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization founded in May 2011 by Marion and Yvonne Williams for the purpose of bringing education and awareness to the American population about the reality that 1) the sale of American women, men, and children into sexual slavery for the profit and pleasure of their perpetrators, and 2) the forced labor trafficking of both adults and children is real in the United States of America. The Williams began their work in anti-human trafficking in 2003 when they discovered the brutality of this crime against humanity. The vision for TIATF was to help eliminate the human trafficking of people in America, and to provide a culture free of sexual exploitation and slavery, where people know their own intrinsic value.

The Downtown Soup Kitchen began over 30 years ago in a garage, fueled by a vision to share the love of God with Anchorage’s homeless. Operating out of a little red house on 4th Avenue, we provided nearly 300 cups of soup each day to homeless and low-income families; in addition, we offered showers and clothing handouts from a yellow A-frame next door. In 2012, we moved into our new facility on 3rd Avenue.
Funded primarily by individual donors and churches, we were able to customize our facility to fit the needs of those we serve. In addition to our regular services, we expanded our programs to create opportunities for our guests to gain experience and marketable job skills. Feed Me Hope Bakery opened its doors in March 2016 to women staying in our emergency cold weather shelter. In Fall 2016, we launched Feed Me Hope Culinary School – a vocational training program for homeless and formerly incarcerated individuals. Already, we have seen remarkable transformations take place as hope has been restored to our Bakery and Culinary students. Our future plans include barista training, a bakery store front, and a food truck for our students to work in. We look forward to what God has in store as we envision a thriving Anchorage community, free of hopelessness. For more information – Click for website
