I haven't been sitting nothing while I've been gone. Nope, I've been writing and publishing. When I was here before, I had published three books about DID. They were my first attempts at writing about our disorder and were substandard to what I can now write. I apologize for that. In a Nutshell, my first book about DID, gives the basics of what I knew then about DID and approaches subjects like integration and other need-to-know topics in brief. Well, now I have written three new books and they are full of information that I think you all here would enjoy reading. They are resources that I'm hoping to get providers and nurses reading so they understand and recognize DID when they see it. I wrote this book because I realized that more doctors and other providers of mental health services needed to be able to find research papers on DID quicker and more efficiently. The book contains many topics on DID including the neuroscience behind it. It is written using the name of the research paper, the author's citation, and the abstract of each one. Important Note: There is no personal experience, only research. This book is full of information about DID. It is formatted to cover all the topics I could think of that relate to dissociative identity disorder. I'm certain there are topics I missed, but I tried very hard to include as much as possible. Important Note: This book has no personal stories from me either, it is purely information from the Internet and from research papers. This book contains the best of my pieces published on both my website and other sites where I write.
Now, this is full of information from my own life as related to what I have learned about DID. It is a much more personal work.
All my books are available on Amazon and there is tons more information on my blog. In fact, my blog has been named number 12 of the top 25 blog sites about dissociative identity disorder.
This has been a shameless plug about my books but I have permission from Felicity to do so. I hope you will consider buying one or more of them. You will find empowered because knowledge of what DID is and how to combat it is paramount to healing.
Thanks guys, and thanks to Felicity Lee who works so hard to help others with DID heal and prosper.

Thanks guys. I really enjoy writing. I think my next book will be interviews with people with various mental health disorders. I think it would be powerful to get stories from people who are living with things like DID, BPD, CPTSD, etc. to help end stigma by showing they are people first and clients second. It's important to show the humanity of mental health issues and to stress that 100% of humans living now and in the future will experience a mental health crisis in their lifetimes and that they do not know if that crisis might morph into a mental health disorder. A Bit About Me: I was dx'd with DID in 9/2016. I consider this my 2nd birthday! Before I was misused by the pdocs who gave me too many drugs, more than 75 ECT treatments and more hospitalizations that I literally remember.
Since my correct dx. I have discovered many internal loving and varied family members whom I cherish. I have returned to my first love, piano playing and am having some success in the 'singletons' world playing at different venues. I love this site!!

I am interested in the Surviving The Treatment and the realities...
I personally am a survivor of the psychiatric community concerning the mistreatment of DID. I went on Amazon to check it out but was hoping to read a snippet to see if I am interested in purchasing it.
Thanks Poppy

I'm having problems converting from PDF to make a file I can post here. I am offering discounts to everyone on IG if you are interested. I can send it either by mail or by Kindle.
They cost $15.99 plus Shipping and Handling on Amazon but I can get you one for $7 shipping and handling included. Just let me know if you want one, okay?

Here's an excerpt from the first chapter:
The Road Less Taken
The phrase ‘the road less taken’ was inspired by a beautiful poem written by Robert Frost entitled, ‘The Road Not Taken. Although the intention of the poem by Mr. Frost wasn’t intended to evoke the strong feelings it does, many people who read it are deeply moved. The Road Less Taken was meant to be a facetious look at his travels around the English countryside, his words say much to the human condition.
We all face decisions that can alter our lives on a regular basis and this poem speaks to many of facing decisions in life and then wondering if we made the correct one. What is we had turned left instead of right? Should we return to where we began and try again?
I Learned Two Things About Myself
When I first read The Road Not Taken, I was inspired because I realized two things about myself.
One, I have made many life-changing decisions, and many of them have been dead ends.
Two, I am not alone in this respect. Everyone makes mistakes in their life decisions. That is totally human and okay.
While thinking on Robert Frost’s poem, I thought of how entering and remaining in therapy until finding peace is indeed the road less taken. Therapy is the road that many either choose to avoid or abandon at some point because of the hard and grueling work involved.
Those of us who have chosen therapy and to look ourselves straight in the eye, are the exceptions.
So, with that introduction, I am going to attempt to relate my story and show that I’m not just some nut job who claims to have knowledge about dissociative identity disorder, and therapy.
I am shouting out that indeed, I know what I’m talking about.
An Important Note
One important note to my readers.
I have made the decision and promise that on this blog I will not publish any gruesome or highly triggering details. I was sold, used, starved, and a lot of other horrendous things and saying that is enough. Comparing my abuse to yours is useless and I will not promote that line of thinking.
Looking to see who suffered more is comparing apples to oranges and doing so is useless and harmful. I do not enjoy playing the one-up-man-ship game, where I you tell me what happened to you and I try to one-up you by telling you something worse.
That is childish and very unproductive.
Okay. I will begin the year I was diagnosed and go from there.
I hope this helps. Morgan
