Welcome All,
A bit about us:
Ivory Garden Forums are set up for folks who struggle with symptoms from trauma, mostly dissociative disorders. We have been around since 2006 when we opened our first forum and then, we transferred to Yuku Boards, then to Invision Boards, and now to ProBoards. We have always had pretty much the same setup as a message board and colors of green and teal. We have now changed our colors and updated the board significantly making it more compact and easier to access on all devices. However, all members do have a choice of themes in profile pages, green and teal being one. Our rules and expectations have never changed since day one. And, they are fairly simple. We ask that all members respect each other, never pass judgement, and do not post stuff posted here to other boards. Our forums are well-moderated and expectations are enforced. Basically, it is a safe and compassionate community. We have few to no problems here. We offer several forum, chat, and weekly zoom meetings.
Ivory Garden is well know for conferences we hosted in Seattle for 5 years. I know that we have met many of you and had a great time while learning a lot.
If you are new here, take a look at the menu where we have rules, expectation, privacy policy, etc. If you have not been here before or are not a member, you will be asked to apply (complete a questionnaire and leave a small one time donation). This is purely for safety purposes. We want to know who is participating on the forum. No one, but the owner, ever sees this information, and it is destroyed right away. The "apply" button is on the menu. Once you have done that, you will be asked to "register", which is at the right side of the board. Registering will not work for anyone without first getting cleared by owner.
If you are already a member or were on one of our other forums, simply email Felicity, who will set you up. We have changed one important aspect of this. As of March 15, 2022 we are setting up referrals without them applying. So, if you are a member and want to refer people, we will trust that you know them well enough to make the referral. The same goes for professionals who would like to refer folks.
Thanks all.
If you have want to respond to this post, please do.
If you would like to ask new questions or start a topic, just "new topic" in the right corner. This forum is open to the public. Please respect our community. Thank you again.
