About the centre
Cedar Centre is a non-profit charity that offers trauma therapy to people of all ages who experienced interpersonal trauma as children: sexual, physical or emotional abuse, neglect, or witnessing violence. Its therapists are psychotherapists and social workers trained in trauma.
The adult program is for people 19 and over whose trauma happened before they turned 18. It begins with an intake and assessment. From there, people can join learning groups and, when it’s a good fit, up to 48 weeks of individual trauma therapy.
The centre chose the cedar tree for its name because cedars offer shelter in the hardest seasons. That is what it hopes to be: a place where people who have been hurt can find safety and grow strong again.
Ivory Garden does not endorse any program. Cedar Centre treats childhood trauma in general rather than dissociative disorders specifically, so ask about their experience with DID. Please contact Cedar Centre directly about current services and wait times.
